# ChartQuery Pricing

With ChartQuery you generate charts, diagrams, barcodes, QR codes, and labels
from a single REST API. Pricing is credit-based: every render costs a fixed
number of credits, and the same credits work across every endpoint family.
Prices below show the annual (billed yearly) rate and the month-to-month rate
(annual billing saves 10%). Listed amounts are the same in USD and EUR.

All endpoints are available on every plan, including Free. Paid plans remove
watermarks and extend share link expiry. Sharing and viewing public URLs is
always free.

## Plans

All plans in one table, showing the annual (billed yearly) rate then the
month-to-month rate.

| Plan | Annually | Monthly | Credits | Rate limit | Share expiry | Notable features |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 | $0 | No API key (60 req/h per IP) | 60 req/h per IP | 3 days | All chart, diagram, barcode, QR, label, and AI endpoints. Watermark on rendered images |
| Starter | $44/mo | $49/mo | 750,000 credits/month (~150,000 charts or ~75,000 AI generations) | 50 req/s | 6 months | No watermark, multiple API keys, email support, 99.9% uptime SLA |
| Pro | $134/mo | $149/mo | 3,000,000 credits/month (~600,000 charts or ~300,000 AI generations) | 100 req/s | 6 months | No watermark, multiple API keys, priority support, usage analytics, 99.95% uptime SLA |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 15,000,000+ credits/month | Custom | 1 year | Dedicated account manager, SLA guarantee, custom integrations, on-premise option, 99.99% uptime SLA |

The **Enterprise** plan is priced on request. It is the right fit for
organizations that need custom credit volume, a contractual SLA, a dedicated
account manager, custom integrations, or on-premise deployment. [Contact
sales](https://www.chartquery.com/contact) to discuss an Enterprise plan. To
start yourself, [create a free account](https://app.chartquery.com/register).
Early-stage companies can also [apply to the Startup
Program](https://www.chartquery.com/startup-program) for discounted paid plans
for 12 months.

The public API and MCP server are included on every plan. There is no separate
MCP fee: if you already have a ChartQuery API key, it works with MCP at no
additional cost.

## Credits

to cover inference. Sharing and viewing are always free.

750,000 credits, a 50 req/s rate limit, watermark-free output, 6-month share
expiry, multiple API keys, and email support. Pro is $134/month billed yearly
($149 month-to-month) with 3,000,000 credits, 100 req/s, priority support, and
usage analytics. Enterprise starts at 15,000,000 credits and is priced on
request. A Free plan is $0, with 60 requests per hour per IP, a watermark, and
3-day share link expiry.

### How is API usage measured?

Usage is measured in credits. A standard chart, diagram, barcode, QR code, or
label render costs 5 credits. AI-powered generation costs 10 credits. Your
dashboard shows usage in real time.

### Can I use ChartQuery without an API key?

Yes. Anonymous access allows up to 60 requests per hour per IP. Charts include
a small watermark and shared charts expire after 3 days. Sign up for a paid
plan to remove watermarks and extend expiry. You can also try the
[Playground](https://www.chartquery.com/playground) without an account.

### Do unused credits roll over to the next month?

No. Monthly subscription credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle.
Credits purchased through pay-as-you-go packs never expire and carry over
indefinitely.

### Can I change my plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your dashboard. When
upgrading, you are charged the prorated difference. When downgrading, the
change takes effect at the next billing cycle.

### What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan stays active until the
end of the current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

### What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and SEPA
direct debit. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Invoices are
generated for every payment and available to download in your dashboard. Card
details are never stored by ChartQuery.

### What currency are prices in?

Listed prices are the same numeric amounts in USD and EUR ($49 and €49). Stripe
handles the charge in the currency shown at checkout. Your bank handles
conversion if your account is in a different currency.

### Do you have rate limits?

Anonymous users are limited to 60 requests per hour per IP. Starter allows 50
requests per second. Pro allows 100 requests per second. Enterprise rate limits
are custom.

### What is the average response time?

Most chart and diagram endpoints respond in under 500ms. AI-powered generation
may take 1 to 3 seconds depending on complexity.

### What chart and diagram types are supported?

10 chart types: bar, line, area, doughnut, pie, radar, polarArea, bubble,
scatter, and mixed. 28 diagram languages, including Mermaid, PlantUML,
GraphViz, and D2. Output formats include PNG, SVG, JPEG, and PDF depending on
the endpoint. See the [API docs](https://docs.chartquery.com) and the
[gallery](https://www.chartquery.com/gallery).

### Is there an SDK or client library?

The API is a standard REST API that works with any HTTP client. Code examples
are available in JavaScript, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, and cURL in the
[documentation](https://docs.chartquery.com) and on the
[developers](https://www.chartquery.com/developers) page.

### Is there a separate price for MCP?

No. MCP calls use the same credits and rate limits as the REST API. There is no
separate MCP plan or surcharge.

### Can I self-host ChartQuery?

On-premise deployment is available with the Enterprise plan. [Contact
sales](https://www.chartquery.com/contact) for custom deployment options.
